We explore basic and applied research on the stability and fluidity of social and personal selves, the identity implications of attitudes and ideologies, and the basis of social influence and social action. We are interested in fundamental cognitive processes in social perception, the structure and function of contested social attitudes, and implications of self and identity processes for education, wellbeing and social change.
